Andrew Poynton FWCF (Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers 1998)
Practised farriery since 1980 and is a well-known and respected farrier who specialises in remedial farriery ranging from orthopaedic work, young stock, subtle lameness in competition horses to extreme situations such as severe laminitic cases.
In 2000 Andrew developed the Imprint® Equine Foot Care System which has revolutionised the way in which a number of hoof care problems, including laminitis, are treated.
Formally an executive member and examiner for the Worshipful Company of Farriers for many years.
Handles referral work from veterinary and farriery practices throughout the country and overseas.
Trained a number of farrier apprentices.
Conducts training courses for advanced farriery techniques for farriers and veterinary surgeons in the UK and abroad.
Performs farriery demonstrations, lecture tours and speaking engagements internationally.
He is never happier than when hands-on helping restore the lame equine to soundness.
